Acciones a nivel internacional por el 127 aniversario del natalicio del Presidente Mao


 

 

 

 

The 127th birthday of Chairman Mao Zedong, which took place on December 26, was celebrated internationally over the past week with statements and actions. To understand a small part of the foundational, incomparable importance of Chairman Mao and his all-powerful ideology which guides the international proletariat, read HOIST, DEFEND AND APPLY MAOISM TO SOLVE NEW PROBLEMS IN THE NEW SITUATION THAT WORLD HISTORY IS ENTERING! from El Maoista magazine, as well as Tribune of the People’s own statement published last week, Commemorating the 127th Anniversary of the Birth of Chairman Mao.

Below is round up of the actions and celebrations seen in the US and internationally surrounding December 26.

United States

Pittsburgh

In 24-degree temperatures, the Pittsburgh Tribune Support Committee (SC) held a screening of the ‘Barracks’ segment from the documentary “How Yukong Moved the Mountain,” recorded during the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution.

A piece of street art was documented which included Chairman Mao’s 1956 poem “Swimming.”

Banners and graffiti were also documented.

Wheeling

A banner reading “Long Live Mao Zedong! Long Live Maoism!” was documented.

St. Louis

The Tribune SC created a banner reading “Long Live 127 years of Mao Zedong!”

Los Angeles

Serve the People-Los Angeles held a study group on Tribune’s article, Commemorating the 127th Anniversary of the Birth of Chairman Mao and took a photo with a banner reading “Mao Zedong will never die, the fight goes on!”

Leading up to Chairman Mao’s birthday, numerous banners were documented around the city.

Tacoma

Graffiti reading “127 years of Mao Zedong” was documented.

Austin

The Tribune SC continued to distribute small gift bags and Tribune articles to workers and other community members in celebration of Chairman Mao’s birthday.

The Tribune SC also held multiple study groups throughout the week, including the Communist Party of Peru’s On Marxism-Leninism-Maoism and Chairman Mao’s Some Questions Concerning Methods of Leadership, taking photos with a banner reading “Long Live 127 Years of Mao Zedong”

A large mural and other wall paintings were documented prior to the 26th.

Prior to the 26th, Popular Women’s Movement – Movimiento Femenino Popular carried out an action that included a banner drop and fireworks.

Kansas City

The Tribune SC made a banner and delivered a speech which declared, “Today we celebrate the 127th anniversary of Chairman Mao Zedong’s birth. Commander, Philosopher, Educator, and Great Leader of the Chinese Communist Party. Mao led two great revolutions- the Chinese revolution of 1949, and the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution from 1966-76.”

Elsewhere, a banner was seen with the slogan “Mao Zedong Will Never Die, the Fight Goes On!”

St. Louis

Brazil

Graffiti was documented in Pinhais, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Betim, and Goiânia celebrating the 127 year anniversary of Chairman Mao’s birth under the slogan, “Long Live Chairman Mao Tse-tung! Long Live Maoism!”

Mexico

Democratic and revolutionary organizations commemorated the 127 year anniversary of the birth of Chairman Mao in various parts of the country. In the State of Mexico, education workers in the Revolutionary Popular Educational Front raised propaganda with the phrase “In difficult times, we must bear in mind our successes, see our bright prospects, and increase our courage.” In the Valley of Mexico, the Popular Propaganda Collective and Teozentli Cooperative Project did the same with the phrase: “The Party is the vanguard, the highest form of proletarian organization. It has to lead all the other organizations, such as the army, the government and the mass organizations.” In the southeast, the Current of the People Red Sun developed various mass activities: a road blockade was carried out that lasted for more than eight hours where flyers and posters were distributed, additionally the call to reinforce the struggle for land against the large landowners, the megaprojects of imperialism, and the high rates of electricity. In the City of Oaxaca took the government palace where the faces of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, and Chairman Gonzalo were placed.

Sweden

Numerous displays of graffiti were seen in the cities of Gothenburg and Stockholm with the slogan, “Long Live Maoism” in Swedish, Spanish, and Turkish in commemoration of the 127 year anniversary of the birth of Chairman Mao.
